Road Trip!

My husband and I went on a little road trip two weekends ago. And the not-so exotic destination of our mini getaway was . . . southwestern Utah – the setting of my book LADY OUTLAW. We had a blast taking pictures of different settings from the book for the “bonus features” section of my upcoming website.

Here’s a sneak peek!

(This could have been the view from Caleb’s room at the ranch, minus the barbed wire fence)
What fun plans do you have for this week? Do you enjoy road trips? Any travel plans for the summer?

  1. Fun! Can't wait to see the new website and pics!

I'm taking a research trip to St. Louis in July and taking the kids along for Six Flags, the zoo and some other places I went as a kid!

  2. Fun road trip! Makes me excited to read your book. 🙂

I've had all my fun in the past month with two trips out east. Now I'm settling in for a few weeks of normalcy…and trying to remind myself that everyday life can be a good thing, too. 🙂

  3. Oh, Stacy, I have been absent from the blogosphere for awhile and did not know that you have an agent! And a book coming out! Congrats! That is beyond exciting…

  4. Jenny – It's nice that the places in the book aren't too far away!

Melissa – Sounds like a fun couple of weeks, but yes, it's nice to come home and get back into the regular swing of things.

Kim – Thank you! Good to see you on the blogosphere again. 🙂

Matthew – I'm all about excuses for road trips! 🙂

Loree – Can't wait for yours!

  5. I LOVE road trips, especially the ones where my hubby drives and I can occasionally read along the way. I'm thinking of taking a road trip to Utah to see my parents this summer. And definitely on my schedule is one to CA to see my sister.

  6. My husband owns his own landscaping company so we stick close to home for the summer. We do have a couple of fun little day trips planned with our kiddos around Minnesota. The state is so diverse there is always something fun to see and do within a short drive. Our next trip is planned for Duluth to see the ships on Lake Superior and visit the train museum!

  7. Leslie – I SO wish I could read in the car, but I get carsick just glancing down for a couple of seconds! 🙂

Gabrielle – I'd love to see Lake Superior – those great lakes are amazing.

Jennifer – Road trips around New England sound like so much fun!
